Utilities
Nebraska and Fillmore County have some of the nation’s lowest energy costs. Nebraska is the only state with 100% public power. Public ownership of generation, transmission, and distribution systems provides customers with some of the lowest electric rates in the nation, plus excellent reliability, excess supply and a history of meeting the needs of new and expanding businesses.
Nebraska Public Power District, (NPPD) Perennial Public Power District and Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) provide power for Fillmore County businesses and citizens. For further information regarding electric rates and service for businesses and industries contact NPPD at 877-ASK-NPPD, Perennial at 800-289-0288 or 402-362-3355 or MEAN at 800-234-2595.
